A foot health journey
The Holsworthy Foot health clinic was born from a passion for feet and helping those who suffer with common but sometimes complex foot health problems that can't be resolved with over the counter solutions. Debra De Ste Croix Dip FH, MCFHP MAFHP. has worked in the health care industry for over 27 years and worked with the elderly for most of those years, She saw on a regular basis, how some elderly people struggled with foot care, such as a simple task like nail trimming, since qualifying, Debra has built up a reputation for her trusting caring nature, her attention to detail and her none invasive procedures for treating a number of foot health related problems and has over 1000 regular patients some of which she sees on a 6 weekly basis, Debra is a member of the Accredited Register of Foot Health Practitioners and is fully insured and registered.
A Foot Health Practioner (FHP) is qualified to provide foot care treatments and maintenance for your feet. They can assess the condition of your feet and treat as appropriate and refer you if necessary.
The Clinic and shop in Bodmin street covers all aspects of foot health, Corns Callus Cracked Heels Nail Trimming Ingrowing Toe Nails treatment for Fungal & Thickened Nails Athlete's Foot and Verruca treatments, the clinic provides a biomechanical assessment with a view to custom made orthotics, Debra also offers Advice on foot health, footwear and podiatry products, Debra also runs a mobile clinic for those who are housebound.
The shop sells an assortment of socks from Alpaca socks to Bamboo, as well as selling podiatry products such as the Gehwol range and chirocream, as well as a verity of other foot health products, Debra offers diabetic foot screening, foot measuring and advice on footwear.
The clinic and shop is situated in Bodmin street, (opposite the NHS Dentist) a 1 min walk from the town square in Holsworthy, there is free parking in the square for up to an hour and the memorial carpark a short 5 min walk away.
Debra visits outreach centers in north devon to treat rough sleepers feet for free, through the charity Forgotton feet, rough sleepers tend to neglect their feet as its such a low priority for them, As well as a passion for feet Debra has a passion for sewing, She is a member of Holsworthy Baggers-morsbags, we make shopping bags from donated recycled fabric, the bags are gifted to the public for free, so pop in to the clinic and collect your free tote bag, Debra is also a marine mammal medic with the British Divers Marine life rescue charity and during the months of September through to January can be found picking up seal pups from the beaches in cornwall, and transporting seal pups to rescue centers.
